DescriptionGeikie presents his compliments, and while reminding him of the German Ambassador's kindness in previous years in taking charge of medals which the Royal Society had awarded to Germans, he informs him that the Davy Medal has once again been awarded to Professor Victor Meyer of Heidelberg University. He trusts that the medal may be presented to the care of the Embassy, to be forwarded on to Heidelberg at a convenient time.
