TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to C F Clay
Date8 December 1891
DescriptionRix has noticed that the Stationary Office did letter volume VIII in the cloth copies differently from the first seven volumes, and reflects that it seems best to continue the series to match volume VIII, and that Clay's lettering seems a good match given the size of the volume. The morocco copies were continued with the smaller lettering, and in that case volume VIII matched the previous volumes; Rix believes volume IX should not begin a new style. It will therefore be necessary to use two styles of lettering for the different volumes.
