TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Arch A G Lea, Dunkeld, Enfield
Date31 December 1891
DescriptionRix apologises that he was out when Lea called. He notes that as the Society is in vacation, it is likely than none of the Royal Society's Officers will be in town on the day of the funeral, but he is thankful for the details, which will be of use if an obituary notice is published in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. The staff of the Society are reported as sad to hear of the death of his uncle.

A postscript states that Mr Russell had borrowed 'Lioriville. Tome 15' at the time of his death, and they would be glad to have it returned to them as soon as possible. The copies of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' and 'Proceedings' were Russell's property.
