| Description | Rix informs Brooke that they have tried Edward Fitzgerald for two weeks, and he is sorry to say that they do not believe it is safe to let him do work. He explains that Fitzgerald appears 'exhausted' by lifting coals, but notes that he is a 'good little fellow' and seems intelligent, and so it is only his strength which is a problem. Rix explains that he has written to their printers to suggest him for messenger work, which is lighter.
