TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date23 March 1891
DescriptionRix is uncertain of whether he wrote on Saturday, but notes that they have undertaken a search for Mr Wood Mason's plate, and there is no hope of finding it, so he suggests that Foster writes to him as he proposed. He states that they are increasingly confident that the plate was sent, as they find that the whole thing was done within five minutes and that it occurred while Foster was still in the house, within five minutes of his ordering that it be sent to Dr Gadow. There was therefore no opportunity for losing it, as it was not left lying around.

All they can do is write to the author. Rix asks that he also enclose a form.
