TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Captain William de Wiveleslie Abney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date10 April 1891
DescriptionRix reports that the Soirée sub-committee met the previous day to consider exhibits for their conversazione on 6 May, at which it was suggested that [Gabriel] Lippmann's photograph of the spectrum would be an interesting exhibit. The committee wished to consult with Abney first, regarding both its suitability and the possibility of their getting it, and so Rix asks that Abney let him know his thoughts on these matters.
