TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Oliver Joseph Lodge, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date23 April 1891
DescriptionLodge's note of 20 April has been laid before the Officers of the Royal Society, and Rix has been directed to state that if the substantial part of a paper has been made available for publication elsewhere, it is not available for publication in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. With regard to the rest, they believe it convenient to leave the question of publication with the Committee of Papers without any prior opinion on the part of the officers.

Rix states that the manuscript must become the property of the Society, as provided in Statute, but if it is not published by them, it is likely that it will be available for Lodge to take a copy and publish elsewhere.
