TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Harrison & Sons, St Martins Lane
Date7 May 1891
DescriptionRix states that they sent them a memorandum on 2 January informing them of the death of Professor Marshall and asking that they remove his name from their lists. They have, however, since received a letter from Mrs Marshall, with a packet of numbers of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' which were received after her husband's death.

Rix requests that they use more caution in future, as this error gives the impression to relatives that the Royal Society is careless and forgetful about the deaths of their Fellows.
