Description | Rix reports that they have, by chance, discovered that a certificate has been resuspended in the meeting room without being registered or read to the Royal Society. The porter who took it in has been duly reprimanded. He further explains, that had they not discovered it, the certificate would never have come before Council and would have appeared to not exist, because the certificates on the stand are already in print. The outcome in this case is however positive, and Mr Cheyne's certificate shall be printed and laid before the Council with the rest, though it was a 'narrow shave'. |
