Description | Rix has been instructed by the Catalogue Committee of the Royal Society to inform Nicholson that the system of advice by scientific experts, which they had briefly tried, will be discontinued, with the task of selection being undertaken by the members of the Committee themselves. Nicholson's claims upon the Committee have, as far as Rix is aware, been settled by their Treasurer, and he has only to thank him for the assistance rendered to the Committee.
The letter is annotated at the top 'Ditto to T.J. Bokenham, A.B. Rendle, C.D. Sherborn, & R. Holmes'. |
