DescriptionIn response to Heath's letter of 28 January, Rix has now brought the question of purchasing Sir Joseph Whitworth's portrait to the attention of the Officers, who have instructed Rix to ask that he send the portrait for the inspection of the Fellows. The best day for the purpose is noted as the following Thursday, 5 March, when most members of the Council will be present. Rix asks that the portrait be sent in on Wednesday between 11am and 4pm, or before noon on Thursday.
