Description | Rix reports that the attention of the President and Council of the Royal Society has been drawn to an advertising pamphlet, which states on the title page that it is by Professor Harley Parker, F.R.S [Fellow of the Royal Society], and states that there has never been a Royal Society Fellow of that name. He therefore requests that public attention is called to this misuse of the letters F.R.S., who will then be able to judge the intention with which they were used.
The letter is annotated to note that it was also sent to the editors of the 'Daily News', 'Standard', 'Morning Post' and 'Daily Telegraph'. |
