Description | Rix answers Hendley's letter of 7 July to state that it is 'not at all imperative' to send in copies of his works, but as they do not have copies in the library, it may be beneficial to do so as it will provide the Royal Society Council with an opportunity of seeing them when they come to select candidates. Rix emphasises that there is no need to rush the matter, as the works are unlikely to be used until the selection takes place next April.
