TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Street
Date9 July 1891
DescriptionRix sends the enclosed requisition forms [not included] and also states that the water has, once again, come through the ceiling due to the gutter outside the lavatory overflowing, which the housekeeper discovered was because the stack-pipe was stopped. He states that Street's men recently mended a slate, but overlooked the 'cause of disaster'.

He also states that John Evans, the Royal Society's Treasurer, has often complained of the pool of water on their front door step, and they would be grateful if something could be done to fix the problem, including a channel being cut to drain off the water. An illustration of the problem is included at the end of the letter.
