TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Professor William Edward Ayrton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date6 August 1891
DescriptionWhite informs Ayrton that the referee has returned his suggested modifications, and they meet his views and so Lord Rayleigh directs White to proceed with the paper's publication.

He is forwarding the manuscript and Ayrton's suggested alterations, and asks that he return it ready for printing at his convenience. He does not send the photographs, but asks that Ayrton mark its place in the text and the number of the figures. White is getting estimates for the lithography of the curve sheets. With regard to the woodcut illustrations, White asks that he let him know whether he wishes the photographs done in a particular way, or if he is happy to leave the matter with the Royal Society.
