TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date19 August 1891
DescriptionWhite has met with Dr Mott about the illustrations to his paper on the 'Hemisection of Cord', some of which Mott states Collings can do by process, to come into the text. He has already expressed a preference for the plates to be done by Anger & Gershl of Vienna by their photo process, as he has had work by them before and believes them to be the best firm in Europe, as well as being cheaper than the Cambridge Company. He does not object to the Cambridge firm, but is uncertain about whether they do such work. White asks if they should get estimates from both, noting that the Treasurer of the Royal Society advises it.

Mott has also said that the Vienna firm would work from aristotype prints, which he advises sending them to quote from, and asks if the Society will pay the cost of these at six shillings each for 25 figures. White states that there may be disadvantages to sending the work abroad, but that it could be worthwhile.
