TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Gertrude M Woodward, 129 Beaufort Street, S.W.
Date24 September 1891
DescriptionRix states that he wrote to Professor Harry Govier Seeley the previous day about plates for his paper, and explains that Woodward is to draw the large folding plate at an estimated cost of 15 pounds and 15 shillings, and he hopes to place two or three quarto plates with her soon. He notes that the cost of the paper, at current estimates, is higher than the Royal Society's Treasurer will allow, and so some plates may need to be omitted; therefore, Rix requests that she restrict her work to the folding plate for now, and awaits further instruction in a few days.

He directs that Woodward get the stone from Messrs West, Newman & Company, who will do the printing as usual.
