Description | Rix has been informed by Dr Michael Foster that Clay & Sons are uncertain about the point at which volume nine of the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' should end. He explains that, if possible, they wish to end with the title, immediately preceding the name James Glaisher, so that the name Glaisher may begin volume ten.
Rix notes that this is dependent on whether the text will end on a convenient part of the sheet. He asks, therefore, that they send trial proof sheets up to, but not including James Glaisher, to allow them to judge the appearance of the final sheet. |
