Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Edward Ayrton, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 3 October 1891 |
Description | Rix informs Ayrton that the cuts are all finished and in the printer's hands, and so cannot be stopped regardless of whether they are right or not. Ayrton will soon have proof of text with the cuts in place, and can then indicate any alterations or substitutions to be made in any figure. Collings visited and explained this to Rix, who felt it would not be worthwhile to have him travel to South Kensington. The cuts were finished over a week ago. |
