DescriptionStates that Professor Percy Frankland and Professor Marshall Ward are to be requested to undertake the proposed enquiry, for a period of six months, with their experiments to be undertaken independently to provide mutual checks. Frankland and Ward are to receive an honorarium of 100 pounds each, with 75 pounds each for an assistant, and 50 pounds each for apparatus and other expenses, with an account to be rendered for the expenditure of both men.

The investigators are to be requested to confer and return a short report to the committee on the question, and a statement of the approach they propose for the enquiry.
