TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to General Sir Henry Ponsonby
Date12 November 1891
DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of Ponsonby's letter of 6 November conveying the approval of Queen Victoria of the Royal Society's awards of Royal Medals for 1891. Foster reports that the late Leonard Wyon, who prepared dies for the medals, was aware of their custom of presenting them at the Anniversary meeting of the Society on Saint Andrew's day, but he does not know if his successor is aware of this custom. If not, Foster suggests that he been informed by Ponsonby to allow him to begin work promptly.
