TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir William Thomson, President of the Royal Society
Date18 November 1891
Description'Dear Sir,
We received the enclosed yesterday. We do not know anything of Mr Edgell Hunt, & no invitation has gone from here. It is just possible that he is merely the private guest of some F.R.S. [Fellow of the Royal Society]; & has written here under a misapprehension; but Dr Foster wished me to ask whether he is by chance some nominee of your own. Kindly return the letter with your answer.
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretaray, Royal Society]'.
