TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to Mr Pilbeam, Whitehall Rooms, Hôtel Métropole
Date25 November 1891
Description'The numbers who have put their names down for the dinner is 231. Of these 3 or 4 are doubtful, and there are usually a few who drop out if the weather is bad. We shall have to provide 231 places and I dare say 220 will dine. This, at any rate, is the nearest I can tell you. I will let you know tomorrow, what the Committee decide as to the arrangement of the table'.
