TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Harry Govier Seeley, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date25 November 1891
DescriptionRix suggests that West, Newman & Company must be mistaken about having done some of Seeley's plates, and suggests that they are thinking about Professor Owen's plates. As they have been consulted about price before the present arrangement was made, Rix feels that they should be allowed to make their offer, but emphasises that he has given them little hope of success.

As the manuscript is with Seeley there is no risk of their proceeding with it until Seeley thinks it advisable. As soon as they receive it with the slight changes and his instruction to proceed, they will place it with the printer.
