Description | In response to their memorandum of 27 November, it has been decided that the Royal Society will pay half the expense of alterations to the plates, as Dr Mott was not very clear in his letter to them about keeping the figures all to the same scale, and that the Cambridge Engraving Company may fairly be asked to pay for the other half.
Mott is reported as not minding whether all or none of the figures have black borders, so they ask that the cheaper option is chosen, though they should not make the alterations until they hear from Mott himself. |
