TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [Charles Scott] Sherrington, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 May 1914
DescriptionThe paper by Dr H E Roaf on 'Vapour pressure hypothesis of contraction striated muscle' communicated by Sherrington, has been carefully considered and the Chairman of the Committee to which it was referred, in conjunction with a Secretary, is willing to recommend the paper for publication in 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. As much of the argument of the paper is based on the actual dimensions of the parts of a muscle fibre, and the figures adopted seem to be based on only rough measurements, they suggest before proceeding to printing that the author should be advised to compare them with those made by Hurthle.
