TitleCopy letter from Arthur Schuster, to Dr [George William Clarkson] Kaye
Date22 May 1914
DescriptionThe Physics and Chemistry Sectional Committee has had Kaye's paper on 'The emission of electricity from various substances at high temperatures' under consideration, and they are prepared to recommend its publication in an abridged form. The Committee was of the opinion that it is sufficient to print only one of the tables which give the numerical data, in view of the indefinite character of the results. The opinion was also expressed that the paper might be abridged to about one third.

Although the Committee would probably not adhere rigidly to so considerable a reduction, Schuster suggests that he should fall in with their views by omitting the unessential details.
