TitleCopy letter from John Rose Bradford, to The Director-General Army Medical Service, War Office, Whitehall, S.W.
Date26 June 1914
DescriptionIn connection with the work of the Sleeping Sickness Commission which has been making investigations in Nyasaland [Malawi] under the direction of the Royal Society, the services of M J Wilson, a clerk in the department of the Army Medical Advisory Board were lent to the Commission, which has now returned to England. Surgeon-General Sir David Bruce, the head of the Commission is now, and will be for some months engaged in drawing up the report of the Commission, and it would be a great assistance to the Commission if the services of Wilson could be retained.

Expresses the hope on behalf of the Tropical Diseases Committee that Wilson is authorized to continue in the service of the Commission for this purpose on his return from leave: it being understood that he will then be drawing his ordinary War Office pay.
