TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Henry W T Bowyer, Secretary, Charity Commission, Ryder Street, S.W.
Date23 July 1914
DescriptionAcknowledges his letter of 21 July regarding a gift of £4000 recently made by Misses L E and M W Lawrence. The gift was not made by deed or any formal instrument, but in the form of an offer, by private correspondence with the Royal Society's Treasurer, who reported it to Council. In these circumstances perhaps the most suitable document to send would be the minute of Council recording the announcement and accepting the gift. The fund has been invested in New South Wales four percent stock 1942-62.
