TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Francis Darwin, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 April 1914
Description[Harold William Taylor] Wager has acted on the suggestion Harrison made and withdrawn Dr Ellis' paper on 'Fossil micro-organisms'. At the same time he has asked whether the author may be told the reason, saying that any statement would be helpful to the author. It is a long standing practice not to give reasons for rejection, but where this is a case of an unofficial suggestion of withdrawal it is the discretion of the Chairman to say whether he thinks grounds can be given in this case. Sending Seward's remarks on the paper, as well as Wager's letter [no enclosures].
