TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to T W Mayer, Tywardreath, Par S.O, Cornwall
Date20 October 1914
DescriptionHe seems to be under the impression that Sir Archibald Geikie is still President of the Royal Society, a position which he relinquished a year ago. The letter he enclosed is not from a society but from a club which was formed not many years ago which, in order to secure a certain class of membership, called itself the Royal Societies Club. The title was objected to at the time, especially by the Royal Society Club, which is a very old one formed among Fellows. No further notice shall be taken of the letter.
