| Description | The paper by Messrs D and J G Thomson on 'The cultivation of human tumour tissue in vitro', communicated by Ross, has been carefully considered and Harrison is directed by the Biological Secretary and the Chairman of the Committee to which it was referred, to say that they are prepared to recommend it for publication in 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' provided the authors are willing to shorten it very much.
The expressed opinion is that the paper should be in the nature of a preliminary note as would be inferred from the number of guarded statements, which indicate that more work must be done. If it is agreed to condense the paper as proposed it is suggested that one page of plates would take all the illustrations necessary, such as three, four, eight, 17 and 19. |
