TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Richard Threlfall, FRS
Date16 December 1914
Description'In reply to your letter of the 17th instant. I find that the certificate of Professor J A Pollock "has ceased to be valid under the five years rule" (Chapter I, Section XI, of the Statutes).
A fresh certificate would therefore be required to renew Professor Pollock's candidature, and would have to be sent in here by the 31st of this month in order to be suspended for the 1915 election; and as the time is now growing short I enclose herewith a blank from together with a cutting of the former certificate for your information.
According to the new regulations the paragraph marked 'qualifications' must not exceed 250 words.'
