Description'I am directed by the Sectional Committee for Physics and Chemistry to inform you that they have given very careful consideration to the paper by Mr Bousfield on "An approximate estimate of the constituents of water" which you communicated to the Society; but that they have come with regret to the conclusion that they cannot recommend it for publication by the Society. I am authorized to forward you the enclosed memorandum setting forth the main grounds upon which they have arrived at their decision.'
