TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to George Walker Walker Esq., FRS
Date2 February 1915
Description'In reply to your letter of the 29th ultimo -
1. I personally do not think it that slightest use to ask the Admiralty for a vessel to take you about the Hebridies while the war continues, but it you wish it I will sound them on the subject.
2. We can no doubt, if it is considered politic, apply to the War Office for the facilities you mention, but I feel sure it will be necessary as a preliminary to know when you would propose to go to Ireland and the orecise course of your journey. If you can let me have these particulars I will discuss the matter with Professor Schuster when he comes up.'
