TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to A Sterry Esq., 24 Martin's Lane, Cannon Street, EC
Date5 February 1915
Description'I have received a letter from Miss Chapman of Endless Road, Balham, informing me of your willingness to bring a portrait of Galileo, in her possession, here for inspection by some of our Fellows. If it suits you to do this at 12 o'clock noon on Thursday, February 11th, that will be a convenient time for the purpose. In the meantime it would be of great assistance to those interested in the subject if you would let me know -
1. The history of the picture so far as that is within your knowledge.
2. The price that is likely to be put upon it in the event of anyone here being inclined to purchase it.'
