TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Messrs Longmans, Green & Co., 39 Paternoster Row, EC
Date24 February 1915
Description'Replying to your letter of the 23rd instant, I will instruct our printer to prepare and forward direct to you electros of the three blocks for which Dr Houstoun has asked. This is done subject to the formal consent of Council which however may be anticipated, and on the condition that the consent of the author has been obtained; also that due acknowledgement of the original source of the illustrations is made.
I shall therefore be glad if you will let me have a line to say whether Dr Houstoun has obtained the consent of Professor J C McLennan to reproduce the figure which appears in his paper (Proceedings of the Royal Society. Vol 47. p275, plate 4, fig 1), and will hold back my order to our printers until hearing from you to that effect.'
