Description'In pusuance of our conversation of the other day with regard to the issue of the edition of the Phil[osophical] Trans[actions], I write to confirm that we then settled, namely:-
1. That the authors' copies of the papers you have in hand are to be struck off at once, and issued without further delay.
2. That the papers now ready for publication are to be issued as Separate Papers to all the Fellows on the old separate paper list, and to all institutions received our publications. (excepting those of enemies' countries).
3. That the list is to be subject to supplement on the completion of the new list now being compiled from the Fellows/
4. That after supplying those demands and an average number for sales, the balance to be held in sheets for further instructions.
I shall be glad to have your acknowledgement of these instructions and a statement of the numbers at which they work out.'
