TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to William Bate Hardy FRS
Date23 March 1914
Description'Your note with the draft report just received. I have sent it off to the printers and hope to be able to sent it out tomorrow morning. There is no signature to it so that I presume it is not Hill and Hartridge's report, but a summary of results based on the previous experiments as well as theirs and intended to form the report of the Committee. I presume that full report you refer to is Hill and Hartidge's report to the Committee on their work.
Simultaneously I have received a note from Mr Parsons saying he does not know where Hill and Hartdige's paper is, and saying further that one or both of them was to have been summoned to this meeting to explain their results. This is the first I have heard of this suggestion, and I have told him that I cannot act properly in these matters if I am not kept informed. If they are to come may I rel upon you now to let them know?'
