Description'I am directed by the President, Sir William Crookes, to acknowledge your letter of the 26th instant and to say that he will gladly avail himself of the opportunity afforded him by Mr Runciman to introduce the Deputation of the Royal Society with reference to the Development of Chemical Industries in this country on Thursday next the 6th May at 4:30.
If you desire to know the constitution of the Deputation I shall be happy to send you the names early next week.'
