TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Sir J Mackenzie Davidson
Date7 May 1915
Description'I hope you will not have thought me too rude for leaving your letter of April 28th so long unanswered: but other business compelled me to put it aside at the moment of receipt, and I confess I have overlooked it since.
There are to be no conversaziones this year and there I did not respond to your offer of an exhibit. The nearest approach to a conversazione is the reception of Fellows next week, to which Fellows are allowed to bring each a guest; and if any Fellow knows of any object of special scientific interest he is at liberty to show it; but we are making no special preparations for exhibits on any scale. If you care to come I have no doubt one of the many Fellows you know would be glad to bring you, and if you and he think it worth while to show the telephone attachment you speak of I have no doubt I shall hear from you further of it.'
