TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Sir William Crookes OM, PRS
Date14 May 1915
Description'The enclosed cam here today addressed to you as President so I opened it, but I think it is more a matter for you personally than for official action as the Society would not take the responsibility of recommending a man for a technical post.
I enclose for your signature and despatch a letter to the painter of Sir David Gill's portrait, whom Dr Schuster thinks it would be well to thank separately; in fact, Lady Gill was here today and hinted that she thought he would like it.'
