TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor Jocylen Field Thorpe FRS
Date14 May 1915
Description'I am sorry to keep worrying you about this Drug Committee, but according to my notes one application namely from Bowmans, Warrington, for advice on the preparation of phenol for salicylate acid is marked to be referred to PRofessor Lapworth. My recollection is that there was some discussion about sending things to him, and I rather think that discussion fizzled out without a definite resolution being adopted. So many of the other salicylate problems have been referred to you that perhaps you will kindly tell me the course I ought to pursue with regard to this one. One of the suggestions made was, I think, that it should go to Professor Lapworth through you. I enclose a form to save you the trouble of writing a letter.'
