Title | Copy letter from William Bate Hardy, Acting Biological Secretary of the Royal Society to Dr Major Greenwood |
Date | 19 May 1915 |
Description | 'Doubtless Professor Starling has shown you the letter which he has received from the Board of Agriculture concerning the Swine Fever investigation. I should like to know from you directly whether you are satisfied with the facilities offered for examining the statistics in the possession of the Board. The proposal amounts to this that you shall be free to go yourself to that Office and examine their files or have sent to you copies of the inspectors' reports relating to outbreaks. The Accountant Department of the Board of Agriculture write to say that they will expect detailed accounts of expenditure. I warn you of this in order that you may be able to furnish them when they are asked for.' |
