TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Sir Frank Watson Dyson FRS
Date21 May 1915
Description'The enclosed copy of a letter to Walker explains itself. As time is short I was not able to consult you as to the dates of possible meetings of the Observatories Committee. I hope the dates mentioned are convenient to you. It is not much use our having a meeting however unless it is certain that Fowler is willing to go. I know your opinion about the main question, but the chief argument in favour of sending out Fowler is that the work he is likely to do would repay the expense of the expedition independently of any question as to the possible removal of Kodaikanal.
Walker is in Lymington, Hants, but seems to be under doctor's orders to do no work for the present.'
