Description'In reply to your letter of the 20th July the request by the Royal Society for the information as to the scientific service available is not to be taken as any sort of guarantee that scientific posts are at the Society's disposition. The only object of the return is to accumulate information as to what assistance is at hand in the event of calls being made by the Government. However, I will put your letter with the return which you sent in previously.'
