Description'In reply to your recent letter with regard to the scientific assistance offered to the Government by the Royal Society, its operations are not limited to inventions our forward by Fellows of the Society; but any serious scientific proposition bearing upon the prosecution of the war receives examination. If you have any such proposition to put forward it should be sent here addressed to the "War Committee'.
The British Association has no official connection with the Royal Society, but has always been in communication with it; most of the leading members of the association being also Fellows of this Society.'
