TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Messrs Few & Co
Date30 July 1915
Description'I reported the substance of our conversation of last week to the Finance Committee which met on Tuesday and they have decided that the Duke of Norfolk's mortgage of £12,000 should be called in.
I presume a formal letter signed by the Treasurer of the Society giving you instructions to give effect to this decision will be sufficient for the occasion, and in that case I am to ask you to be good enough to draft a letter in the proper form for that purpose for the Treasurer to sign, and send it to him at: The Brown House, Holmbury St Mary, Dorking for signature. When you have it I shall be glad to have a copy for preservation here.'
