TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Edwin Ray Lankester, FRS
Date11 January 1916
DescriptionReply to an earlier enquiry from Sir Edwin Ray Lankester about books for the Library. Confirms that the treatise, 'La croix Mineralogie de la France', has been acquired by the Geological Society and is accessible there. Explains to Sir Lankester that the principles on which accessions are made to the Library have for many years been the same: 1) no books are bought except by order of the Library Committee on consideration of suggestions from fellows, and 2) the acquisition of books must align with considerations of space.
