TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor Andrew Gray, FRS
Date21 February 1916
DescriptionExplains to Professor Andrew Gray that, so far as reserved occupations are concerned, men who have been attested for service by March 1st retain their position and are exempted from the operation of the Military Service Act automatically. Men who have not been attested must claim exemption individually and justify their claims. Notes that difficulty continues to arise as a result of Recruiting Authorities not being fully informed of the regulations issued by the Local Government Board and Munitions Department.
